Connla's Well

Following a recent UK (pretty much sell out) tour. With two nights at the White Hotel in Salford. Is a five track E.P from Maruja, a collection of 3 singles and two new tracks

Maruja are a jazzy post punk band from Manchester. Jacob, Joe, Matt and Harry create a massive wall of sound, built up with smooth but haunting saxophone riffs.

Connla's Well

A short introduction to the EP, The track is less than two minutes long. Sounds like a train building up speed, hurtling towards disorder.

The Invisible Man

Slow build up with an anxious wait for the drop, this track is full of potential energy and dances around the edge like it's going to explode at any moment.

Zeitgeist

The song begins with a 10 second klaxon warning before some rapid quick fire lyrics mixed with a bouncy bass line. Feels like the whole track doesn't take a breath. Bit of a mad one!

One hand Behind The Devil

Stop-start riff, thrashy drums to kick it off. Jazzy interlude in the middle. classic Maruja.

Resisting Resistance

A slower/calmer track to close off the madness of the previous 15 minutes. A mostly instrumental track, it proves they can provide a moment's peace at the end of it all.
